SHEEHAN LAW FIRM, PLLC
Sheehan is a former partner with Haynes and Boone, LLP where he maintained an extensive litigation practice as a member of the Specialized Litigation Section. In January 2001 Sheehan took up residence on Anguilla, West Indies, where he was admitted to both the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of England & Wales. As a licensed Solicitor and as a Professional Consultant Sheehan became a member of Caribbean Juris Chambers. In the Caribbean Sheehan continues to represent the interest of various international developers and commercial enterprises.
In January 2009 Sheehan established the Sheehan Law Firm, PLLC.
Over the past 40 years Sheehan's legal practice has spanned such diverse areas as health care fraud litigation, product litigation, toxic tort litigation, commercial and transactional litigation, disputes in the oil and gas industry, land use disputes, and medical malpractice. Sheehan’s practice has taken him to numerous federal and state court venues throughout the United States. During that time, Sheehan has additionally handled appeals before the United States Supreme Court, the Texas Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and various Texas Courts of Appeals.
Dennis Sheehan
Over the past several years Sheehan has acted as court appointed Guardian Ad Litem in numerous Mass Tort Settlements involving Advair, Depakote, General Motors, Paxil, Prozac, Risperdal, Topamax, and Wellbutrin. With approximately 85% of his practice now being concentrated on serving as a court appointed Guardian Ad Litem, Sheehan has been honored to serve thousands of claimants. Even years after settlements have been finalized Sheehan continues to assist claimants he was appointed as Guardian Ad Litem as questions or needs may arise.
Additionally, Sheehan is a certified Mediator who has over his 40-year career meditated a wide variety of matters. His experience makes Sheehan a resilient facilitator who will skillfully navigate through the complexities of a legal dispute and guide the parties toward varying options for a successful resolution.
In addition Sheehan serves as public arbitrator in cases before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), formerly the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
